I'm completly new in the stock market. _base_d on what I've read, the best way to see if a company has value is to see if there is internal ownership.

My question is, why do some stocks that are doing very well have no reported internal ownership? Are there rules in regards to employees of a company buying stocks either directly from the company or on the open market?
